Hasan Khalid, 21, was sentenced Tuesday by Superior Court Judge Frank Iannotti to three years, suspended after he serves 18 months in prison, followed by three years of probation. He also has to register as a sex offender and undergo treatment for sexual offenders, according to the Connecticut Post.

Following the attack, she later learned that she was pregnant and that she had contracted Chlamydia, according to the Post. When she told Hasan about the pregnancy he laughed at her again,
Police said the girl terminated her pregnancy, the Post reported.
